btw, best pitchers are in the NL. Most extraordinary hitters, as well. Yet another reason to enjoy the NL over the AL. There is no double switch in the AL. No sacrifice bunts either. The wheel play??? Forget about it. You play for one run and you lose 9-1 in the AL. It's baseball for peeps whose movie is not complete without a car chase. lmao

Small Ball and the sac bunt are dead in ALL of baseball.

As for being the lesser of two Sox, maybe. But (as pathetic as this may be) our last Series victory isn't as long ago as the Bo Sox's!!! LOL!!! Plus, as long as the Yankees are in their division, our chances are better of seeing a victory sooner!

You have Bonds on your team, and you mention a sacrifice bunt!?! Hahahahahaha!!! I watch all of the teams, and there is VERY little difference between the NL and AL styles, in all honesty. Baseball is all about the long ball, and that is about it.

For the best pitchers you name in the NL, I can equal it with the NL. Most of the NL pitchers (exceptions being on the Cubs) who are great are on their way out.

The Giants just scored four runs using two walks, five singles, and a SACRIFICE bunt. No long ball needed (though one right now would put the game away) . Strictly station to station. (and the bases are still loaded)

btw, the Mariners won today.

Hey, I will admit that the Sox probably won't make it post-season, and that even if they do get there, they are dead in the first round. They are a team with some AMAZING potential, the problem is that the potential has been there for 5+ years and it is starting to get O-L-D!!! Manuel has no idea how to manage, and the team has no idea how to take over and do the job for themselves. If the Sox had a REAL manager, and actually spent the money to get a real manager, then this team would be more than the 11 games ahead that your Giants are, and nobody will deny that one. The Giants have the players, and they have a manager that knows how to bring those players together.

The other team here in Chicago is no better than the one I love, but to listen to the media here in this city, you would think that we had a team of your Giants caliber here. Though, they did spank you guys around quite a bit, didn't they?

I have been trying to watch the Giants game, but household duties keep dragging me away. On my way to do my treadmill shit, so I plan to catch the end of the game there.

You think anybody else is reading this thread? LOL!!!

I've been reading it, but I'm looking forward to the new NFL and UK soccer seasons.

Oooo, can't take Footbal myself. I think it is the musclehead fan mentality that goes along with it more than anything. Years of hating jocks in high school screwed that sport forever. The baseball guys were never you typical "jocks".

But that being said, I do enjoy the Super Bowl ever year. Something about it that I like. I think it all changed when Green Bay got their a few years ago, the first time. That game was a great game, and I started watching the SB after that.

I will take Football over Basketball ANYDAY though!

I don't mind watching a bit of baseball, but I find it hard to stay focussed for a whole game. I just catch the best bits on TWIB now n again, lol.

About time you showed up!
Yeah, you fucking West Coast teams, we can't do shit with you!!! Every Sox fan knew we were up the creek on that trip. First game gave me hope. Second hurt. I could make the excuse that we benched most of our starters and rested them for the Royals series, which I do believe we did. But it still doesn't excuse the fact the they lost. If letting our regulars sit a game will cost up the games, then something is seriously wrong with the team, and we are dead in post season.
